Hot off the heels of our hit series, Camerata Re-Mastered. Camerata brings you Landscapes, another electric and eclectic collection of music.
This time you get to experience the vicarious pleasure of travel to Greece, England, and Andalusia through the exquisite Serenade for Strings by Lennox Berkeley, the humorous folk music of Nikos Skalkottas, and the Spanish dancing sounds of Rodrigo.
Hear the ancient, mythological landscape of Stravinsky‘s Apollon Musogéte and Paul Stanhope‘s Dancing on Clouds that depicts the ‘landscape’ that unwell children view from high up in a hospital ward as they look out their windows to the clouds, seeking hope for future adventures.
To take in our own landscape, Camerata is joined by Emily Wurramara – a twice ARIA-nominated Australian First Nations singer, who will sing John Rogers‘ moving Here Me, and Remember as well as some of her own tender songs. A Camerata concert is always something unique and different!
ERIC AVERY POTPONED
We are sad to announce the disappointing news that current Covid restrictions prevent Eric Avery, a Ngiyampaa, Yuin, Bandjalang and Gumbangirr artist, from performing with us as special guest artist for our Landscapes concert series. We are however working with Eric to be able to share something very special online with you in the near future. As they say, “watch this space!”.
