A 2024 Mackay Chamber Music Festival hit, Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra returns, this time evoking the sounds of the beautiful “Sunshine State” in music by talented Queensland composers.

“Sunshine Sounds” is full of evocative and unique string orchestra music that highlights some of the most exciting and promising voices in Australian music today and some unique Queensland locations. The concert also features Lyrebird cellist and Mackay Chamber Music Festival stalwart, Simon Cobcroft in Peter Sculthorpe’s sublime Lament for Cello and Strings. Last time they sold out — don’t miss out!

After the concert, audiences are invited to stay for a relaxed Q&A in the foyer—a great chance to hear from the musicians and gain insight into how they bring their performances to life.
