Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra shares this exciting development in their leadership team, setting the stage for continued growth with the newly created position of Executive Producer.
This announcement comes off the back of several years of exciting growth and momentum for Camerata, seeing its mainstage concerts, concert presentations and regional touring increase significantly since 2020.
Celebrating 40 years in 2027, this new position marks an important and exciting chapter for the company and one that will undoubtedly strengthen Camerata’s ability to innovate, connect, and grow.
After several months stepping in as Interim Executive Director, Angela Loh, previously Managing Producer and longstanding member of Camerata’s management team, will transition into the newly created position of Executive Producer.
Executive Director, Dr Jay Byrnes, says:
“Angela has long played a vital role at Camerata, most recently as Managing Producer, where she has overseen the day-to-day delivery of our programs, supported artists and staff, and maintained the smooth operation of our busy performance schedule.
“As Executive Producer, Angela will help to shape the future of Camerata alongside the Artistic and Executive Directors and play an important part of the senior leadership team. We are excited to see how this will enable Camerata to further flourish and grow.”
Artistic Director and leader, Brendan Joyce shares Jay’s excitement for this new development:
“Angela led our team beautifully during the six-month transition to Jay Byrnes starting as Executive Director, and what a light it shone on her talent, creative ideas, and commitment and dedication to Camerata.
“The ‘win win’ for us is that Camerata is well and truly ready for a role that allows us not only to support the development of an outstanding staff member but for the company to explore more creative ideas, plan further ahead and chip away at the longevity of the group.”
