In review: Camerata & Brendan Joyce: Schumann (Brisbane)

Brisbane, you were absolutely incredible!

What a way to kick off the season (especially despite this wild weather…!) with you all in a beautiful program of music at the Concert Hall, QPAC. It was wonderful to welcome back to the stage our extended musical family (“The windies”!) – our wind, brass and percussion sections for our opening concert.

What was your favourite? Mendelssohn’s sparkling concert overture? Schumann’s tender and rarely heard Violin Concerto (from the cello concerto), performed by Brendan Joyce? Or Poulenc’s light and charming Sinfonietta?

A huge shoutout to Mac Johnson (Pianist) and Jensen White (Baritone) for making the evening even more memorable!
