From the lush beauty of Sextet by Johannes Brahms, reimagined for chamber orchestra, to the inspiring story and sparkling Scherzo of Ethel Smyth, the program was rich with colour and heart.

Marian’s double bass solo was pure magic. The cheers and applause said it all.

And how could we forget our wild card, Monique Clare, who wowed us with her songs and dazzling cello artistry.

To top it all off, Smith’s Alchemy by Carl Vine was the perfect finishing touch, beautifully framing a concert that was vibrant, intimate, and overflowing with passion.
