Regional Tour 2026 was officially underway from 11 – 20 Jun 2026, bringing music, joy, and meaningful connection to communities across Queensland. From intimate performances to full-house concerts, each stop has been a celebration of the power of music to bring people together.

Goondiwindi

The tour opened in Goondiwindi with a memorable gathering at the Goondiwindi Waggamba Cultural Centre. Musicians and community members came together for a vibrant jam session, creating a shared musical experience that set the tone for the journey ahead.

The second day built on this momentum. A performance at Gulliver’s Family Day Care delighted young audiences, followed by school visits and a collaborative community rehearsal. The day concluded with an evening concert that captured the warmth and spirit of the local community.

St George

In St George, the Camerata Caravan brought live music to residents at Warrawee Aged Care Service, creating moments of connection and reflection. The evening concert at the St George Cultural Centre brought the wider community together.

The following day featured a hands-on workshop and a special presentation, Meet the Chamber Orchestra, offering audiences insight into how a string orchestra works. These experiences fostered a deeper appreciation of the music and the musicians behind it.

Bollon to Cunnamulla

The journey continued to Bollon with a Camerata Live performance that offered an intimate musical experience. A highlight of the tour was a cultural presentation and luncheon with Guwamu and Kooma elder Uncle Bill Speedy and Judith Speedy. This was a meaningful opportunity to listen, learn, and reflect, adding a rich cultural dimension to the tour. The day ended in Cunnamulla with an informal jam session, bringing musicians and community together through shared music making.

Cunnamulla

In Cunnamulla, Camerata visited the local hospital, sharing music with patients and staff through Camerata Caravan. The atmosphere was warm and uplifting. At Cunnamulla State School, students engaged enthusiastically with the musicians, exploring music in a hands-on and inspiring way. The day concluded with an evening concert at Paroo Shire Hall, where a welcoming audience created a memorable performance experience.

Quilpie

In Quilpie, the day began with a performance at Gyrica Gardens, where residents experienced the beauty of live chamber music.
At St Finbarr’s School, students participated with curiosity and energy, discovering new aspects of music-making. The evening concert at Quilpie Shire Hall provided a fitting conclusion to a full and rewarding day.

Charleville

Charleville offered another highlight of the tour. A performance at Waroona Multipurpose Centre brought music directly to residents, followed by a community rehearsal at the Town Hall that encouraged participation and collaboration. The day concluded with a full-house evening concert, bringing the entire community together in a shared musical experience.

Regional Tour 2026 is more than a series of performances. It is a journey of connection, creativity, and shared experience.
Across every community, the tour has created moments of joy, reflection, and inspiration, reinforcing the role of music as a powerful and universal language.
