Camerata is pleased to announce the following members of this year’s 2020 Upbeat program, as pictured (L-R):
• Ann Carew, Violin (University of Queensland)
• Rebekah Hall, Violin (Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University)
• Sophie Ellis, Viola (Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University)
• Connor Bishop, Double Bass (Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University)
Camerata is also proud to announce West Village as a 2020 Program Partner of our emerging artist initiative, Upbeat. Camerata’s Upbeat initiative provides a number of paid performance and rehearsal opportunities over twelve months to support career pathways for talented graduating or recently graduated artists.
With the support of West Village, the 2020 Upbeat program participants will be offered expanded performance and development opportunities, which will see the artists curate and develop unique musical experiences for residents of West Village throughout the year. This additional activity enhances existing opportunities for participants, which include a variety of performance opportunities across Camerata’s Season 2020 and broader concerts and touring activities.
The four participants, together with Artistic Director, Brendan Joyce will curate a specially designed program which will be performed to residents of West Village this month, in a series of events to be rolled out throughout the year.
Keep an eye on our social media in the coming weeks to learn more about this year’s participants.
