Camerata are thrilled to be performing as part of this year’s Linville Heritage Festival on on Sunday 22 November.
The concert titled ‘A Song With Words’ is an original work that intertwines words and music to commemorate Linville’s rich history. As a special treat, Camerata is joining forces with brilliant Australian actor, Barbara Lowing to bring residents and visitors this beautiful morning concert experience.
‘Camerata has always had a regional focus and loves bringing music to rural communities, however we have never played in this region before and never in Linville’ Artistic Director Brendan Joyce said. ‘We are all looking forward to this adventure’.
Actress Barbara Lowing knows the area well. Her connection with the Brisbane Valley goes back to a time when her mother’s family owned a farm on Cressbrook Creek in the 1940’s. In the early 1980’s, her family moved to a farm on Fulham Road, outside of Toogoolawah and her brother still lives and works in the Valley.
“I am so happy to be part of the Heritage Festival. Many times my dad and I would spend time, driving and exploring The Brisbane Valley, and it’s beauty never ceases to amaze me” Barbara said.
Breakfast will be organised by Linville Progress Association and available in the Hall grounds from 7.00am to 8.30am. Breakfast can be paid for on the day at ‘tent door’.
The concert is scheduled from 9.00am to 10.00am in the Hall and tickets are on sale now. Seating is by 8.45am sharp.
Given current COVID restrictions the Hall can accommodate an audience of 80 so secure your seat by buying tickets as soon as possible through this link.
