Celebrating 10 Years with Monika Koerner at Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra

Join us in celebrating the incredible 10-year journey of Monika Koerner, our talented principal flutist, who has graced the stage with Camerata whenever winds are required. Monika is deeply passionate about being part of Camerata’s vibrant family and is thrilled to share her milestone anniversary with us.

Monika’s first performance with Camerata was at the Beethoven No. 3 concert, conducted by Graham Abbott—a rare conductor-led experience she still fondly remembers. However, it is the unique unconducted setting at Camerata that truly resonates with her. This collaborative atmosphere brings a sense of energy and creativity to rehearsals, where every musician has the opportunity to contribute their voice and ideas.

Throughout her 10 years with Camerata, Monika has had the privilege of performing in some remarkable pieces, including the Carl Vine Concerto Grosso, Puccinella Suite, and Prokofiev Classical Symphony, all performed in the unconducted style that defines Camerata’s dynamic approach.

Monika will be joining us for our first mainstage concert of 2025, Camerata & Brendan Joyce: Schumann. This performance, featuring a full chamber orchestra with wind, brass, and percussion, promises to be a memorable occasion. Join us in Toowoomba on 12 Mar 2025 and Brisbane on 13 Mar 2025 to experience this spectacular musical event.

We are so grateful to have Monika as part of the Camerata family and look forward to many more years of her exceptional artistry and musical passion!
