“Camerata bursts with musical colour.” Limelight
“…this was a most delectable concert by Camerata, rich and luscious with superb playing…” Sydney Arts Guide
The Four Seasons has captivated audiences and music-makers the world over, and Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra is no exception.
In this performance at Mackay Chamber Music Festival, Camerata reimagines The Four Seasons, intertwining Vivaldi, Max Richter (from his hit post-minimalist album, Recomposed by Max Richter), Astor Piazzolla (with a Buenos Aires tango version of “Spring”), as well as a north American season written by American fiddler, Mark O’Connor. To evoke the intensity of Winter will be the sublime piece, “Tibetan Winter”, by Roxanna Panufnik.
Camerata will also be joined by special guest, esteemed Australian Guitar, Mandolin and Banjo virtuoso Joel Woods for Mark O’Connor’s spritely “Summer”.
Four Seasons Reimagined will uplift, delight, and celebrate the talent of Camerata’s Artistic Associates in solo roles.
