As one of Australia’s leading and busiest ensembles Camerata is known for its innovative and broad-ranging programming. Its 38-year history as an unconducted chamber orchestra includes an annual mainstage series, regional touring, community engagement projects, appearances at music festivals, recordings, broadcasts, collaborations with other artforms, residencies, orchestra-for-hire projects and as a live music partner for major arts companies. 

Current focus areas: VIOLIN and VIOLA 

The first round is an expression of interest which is to include a recent video recorded performances of your playing. A second, live audition round will then be held as appropriate. 

CELLISTS, DOUBLE BASSISTS, WINDS and BRASS players are also welcome to send an expression of interest and recording sample, but applicants should be aware that opportunities are rare at this time and no live round will be held.
